31 Days of Moustache: Salvador Dali

Name: Salvador Dali
DOB: May 11, 1904
DOD: January 23, 1989
Profession: Painter
Claim to Fame: Painted "The Persistence of Memory"
Prime YAM (Years Active with Moustache): 20s, 30s

Why It's Awesome:
Dali famously said, "Every morning upon awakening, I experience a supreme pleasure: that being Salvador Dali." How can you blame him, really? He was a very talent surrealist painter.  Everyone knows of his famous "The Persistence of Memory".  It's one of the most famous paintings of the 20th century.

Dali was also involved in some filmmaking in his early days. I vividly remember Luis Bunuel's Un chien andalou (which he co-wrote). It's a famous silent surrealistic film that contains ants coming out of a person's palm and someone's eye getting sliced. Real fun stuff...

Final 'Stache Rating (Out of Four Moustaches):

He got so obsessed with his 'stache that he published a book on them in 1954, "Dali Moustache". His famous waxed up moustache was his trademark and one of the best ever.
