Claim to Fame: Pitcher for Oakland A's and 3 Time World Series Champion
Prime YAM (Years Active with Moustache): 70s
Why It's Awesome:
When people think of Rollie Fingers, they always think of a handlebar moustache. Did you know that Fingers only grew it out, so he could get a 300 dollar bonus from A's owner, Charlie Finley. Actually, if you look at the A's roster from the early 70s, most of them had facial hair due to Finley's bonus.
Fingers was one of the best pitchers in his day and he was part of three straight championships in Oakland. His moustache struck fear in batters and is probably responsible for numerous strikeouts.
Final 'Stache Rating (Out of Four Moustaches):
This is one of the most famous handlebar moustaches especially in sports. It's Fingers' trademark and he has had it for over 30 years. Simply incredible.
