31 Days of Moustache: Freddie Mercury

Name: Freddie Mercury
DOB: September 5, 1946
DOD: November 24, 1991
Profession: Musician
Claim to Fame: Lead Singer of Queen
Prime YAM (Years Active with Moustache): 80s

Why It's Awesome:
Mercury is arguably the greatest frontman ever. Why?  The answer is simple.  He had a moustache.  Queen was great in the 70s, but it was the 80s when they became the biggest band in the world. Why?  Again, the answer is the 80s was when Mercury had a moustache.  It's no coincidence folks.

The Game may be Queen's best album and it's no surprise (once again) that it was the first one with Freddie with a moustache. Or how can we forget about Mercury's performances at Live Aid and Wembley (see above video)?  Simply amazing performances.

Final 'Stache Rating (Out of Four Moustaches):

This is a basic moustache. Again, it is easy to pull off, but it really worked for Mercury. It complements his face well. It's the classic Mercury look. Plain and simple.

Mercury had a 'stache for one reason. Well, okay, two.

First, because he needed that 'gay porn' look. But mostly just to cover up those fugly teeth. A decent effort, but not a great 'stache.
