31 Days of Moustache: The Beatles

Name: The Beatles
Profession: Musicians
Prime YAM (Years Active with Moustache): 1967

Why It's Awesome:
In 1967, The Beatles released which is generally considered the greatest album ever made. Yes, I'm talking about none other than Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It was during these recording sessions that The Beatles decided in unison to grow moustaches.

The Beatles basically kicked off the summer of love with not only the release of Pepper in June, but also the live recording of All You Need is Love shortly after. Add to that, months earlier they released the greatest double A side single ever of Strawberry Fields Forever/Penny Lane. What else is there to say?

When The Beatles grew moustaches in 1967, they reached their pinnacle. They still amazed us all for the next couple years until their breakup on April 10, 1970. Still, it was '67 that simply blew us all away.

Final 'Stache Rating (Out of Four Moustaches):

Like already said, The Beatles grew their moustaches in unison. My roommates and I tried this during our senior year of college and failed. It's not as easy as it looks. Their album cover of Pepper, which featured their 'staches in all their glory is considered the best ever. Another thing I love is that each of their moustaches had their own identity.  I'm giving them four 'staches, one for each Beatle.
