Apparently, STAR, a TV network in 53 Asian nations that reaches more than 300 million viewers edited out any references of gay or lesbian during the Oscar telecast on Sunday. That means that both Dustin Lance Black and Sean Penn's acceptance speeches were edited. I don't know all the details and I haven't seen any actual video of these edited speeches, but what shame.
It's ridiculous that people get offended by the mere words of homosexuality. When are we all going to grow up and realize that homosexuals do exist? Or are we all going to hide behind our bibles and insist that God only loves straight people?
