Here is a quick list I compiled of other Best Picture nominees in recent history that went into the Oscars with multiple nominations and left with a goose egg. I just thinks it's foolish to think that Michael Clayton HAS to win something. I'd make a really good argument that some of the films on this list are superior to Clayton. In case you didn't know, it has seven nominations.
0/10 - Gangs of New York (2002)
0/7 - The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
0/7 - The Thin Red Line (1998)
0/7 - The Insider (1999)
0/6 - Good Night, and Good Luck. (2005)
0/5 - Munich (2005)
